Observatoire de la Capitale is pleased to host Nunavik, an exhibition by photographer and pilot Mario Faubert, from January 18 to March 9, 2011.
The large images (1 meter by 1.5 meters) take visitors on a journey of breathtaking beauty through Nunavik, Quebec’s arctic north. They will get a bird’s-eye view of the majestic landscape in this little-known region of Quebec that captivated the artist and inspired this project.
The ten photographs selected for the exhibition are taken from the book Nunavik–Untold Quebec, which was recently published by Les éditions du passage. This book will be sold at Observatoire de la Capitale during the exhibition for $49.95.
In addition, all of the photos—numbered and signed by the artist—will be sold in a limited edition.
