Exhibition of the winning entries from the St. Lawrence River photo contest

Observatoire de la Capitale presents a new exhibition on its south facade. This exhibition features the winning photographs from the St. Lawrence River photo contest organized by L’Escale Nautique magazine. The16 prize-winning photographs and the 20 awarded honorable mentions are on show at Observatoire de la Capitale through April.

The ninth edition of the photography contest attracted 180 entrants, who submitted 1,200 photographs to the jury. This unique photography contest, entirely devoted to the St. Lawrence, covers five themes that express the river’s many faces:

  • Animal life
  • Commercial navigation
  • Pleasure boating and recreational activities
  • Landscapes
  • Maritime life in the Québec City area

Every year, the contest unveils outstanding unpublished photographs to the public. You can view the prize-winning photographs from this and previous years on the L’Escale Nautique website.
