Québec Winter Carnival 2018 : 2-for-1 admission to Observatoire de la Capitale

Winter Carnival festivities will reach new heights in the days ahead.

Until February 11, visitors sporting the 64th Québec City Winter Carnival effigy can take advantage of a special discount and get two admissions for the price of one to Observatoire de la Capitale. Admission is free to visitors 12 and under accompanied by an adult.

With sweeping views of the Plains of Abraham, St. Lawrence River, and Parliament Hill, Observatoire de la Capitale is the premier venue for taking in all of Québec City’s winter beauty from a warm, cozy setting! Don’t miss the new Horizons discovery experience—a fresh and fun way to explore the city’s rich history. There’s something for everyone: compelling, self-paced content for lifelong learners, archive video footage for history buffs, an illustrated circuit at eye level for children, and a drone-shot film for thrillseekers.

The best Winter Carnival views
From 221 meters up, take in awe-inspiring views of Bonhomme’s Ice Palace at Place de l’Assemblée-Nationale and Jos’ Camp at Parc de la Francophonie to the south, featuring a traditional sugar shack and other throwbacks to the Canada of yesteryear.

One of the biggest and most popular Winter Carnival events, the canoe race is definitely one to take in from the top of the Observatory. On Sunday, February 4, starting at 11:30 a.m., get a bird’s eye view as daring athletes cross the frozen river between Québec City and Lévis.

We look forward to seeing you!
