As the Turtledove Flies

Celeste is an adventurous turtledove who has lost her true love while flying over Québec City. She retraces their path with the kids, remembering the places the couple visited together as she searches the city for him. A lively interactive story that introduces the landscape and locations where Québec City’s history was made.

The Adventures of Captain Klutzy

Captain Klutzy is an endearing balloonist who gets tangled up in the Observatoire de la Capitale tower. Participants help him fix his balloon so he can get back in the air. The captain’s games, mime, and songs introduce kids to the geography and history of Québec City.

Compass Challenge

Students test their sense of direction 221 metres up, relying on the panoramic view from Observatoire de la Capitale. With compasses they make themselves, students set forth to master the building blocks of Québec City’s history.

Québec City has been been at the heart of religious, military, economic, and political power since its foundation. When History Comes to Life uses its own kind of improv theatre to familiarize students with the city’s journey as provincial capital as they relive some of the key moments of its history.
